Watering the seed of bhakti
Sri Sri Pran Krsna Das Babaji
“You see, to get a tree, first we need to plant the seed and water it. We let it grow, and then it becomes a tree. When it produces fruit, we offer it to Krishna. Gurudev has given us the seed. The mantra is the seed, and if we chant Mahamantra, then the Gopal mantra will have His effect. Hearing and chanting is the watering of the seed, but we need to fertilize it with enthusiasm by accepting the favorable things for bhajan.”
